fall 2012_ Texas A&M University College of Architecture_Field Studies in Design Philosophy Field Trip to Montjuïc with Professor Suzanne Strum

As a part of the first block seminars, based on “place based” learning, that offers a comprehensive survey of Barcelona´s urban and architectural history and contemporary situation, Texas A&M Students visited with professor Suzanne Strum visited Montjuic area to the grounds of the 1929 World´s Exposition, the 1992 Olympic Ring, the Botanical Garden by Carles Ferrater and Beth Figueras, and the Caixa Forum. In the area they also visited the former Arenas Bullring, renovated by  Richard Rogers and the Joan Miró Park from the early 1980´s.
