Fall 2016_ Netherlands

Our Fall 2016 students from Texas A&M, Clemson and Roger Williams University and Cedim went on their second field studies trip to the Netherlands guided by our professors Ivan Blasi and Anna Sala.

During this 8-day trip in 8 cities of the Netherlands: Rotterdam, The Hague, Hilversum, Delft, Zaandam, Otterlo, Utrecht, and Amsterdam, our fall 2016 students had the opportunity  to visit and study projects from architects such as Rem Koolhaas, Kees Kaan, Felix Claus, MVRDV, West 8, Enric Miralles, Mecanoo, Richard Meier, Gerrit Rietveld, Aldo van Eyck, and many others, and learning about the history and development of the Dutch urban form.

In Amsterdam, students had pleasure to visit Architekten CIE office and got chance to discover more about their Amsterdam office and local and international projects.

Many thanks to everyone and who has received us and who made part of this trip.

BAC Spring 2016 Lecture Series_KAZUMI KUDO

Last night our TAMU, CU, RWU and Japanese universities students had pleasure to assist at Japanese architect and professor KAZUMI KUDO conference at the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC)

SPRING 2016 Seminar Visit_ Montjuic

First two weeks of our Spring 2016 program, students from Texas A&M, Clemson University and Roger Williams University are attending guided visits by our professor Ivan Blasi through the iconic areas of Barcelona.


See some pictures from the first from the series: Montjuic area starting from the top point with the city overview at the Montjuic castle, passing through Miró Foundation, Botanic Garden, Teatre Grec, Museum of National Art, Caixa Forum and finishing at the Mies Van der Rohe Pavilion.

Mies van der Rohe Award 2015

100 ideas to solve the London housing crisis
Location: The Building Centre, London

New London Architecture is showcasing 100 of the over 200 projects submitted in a competition to help alleviate the London housing crisis. The top ten projects will worth with the Greater London Authority, London’s City Hall, and explain how their projects would be implemented in the future.

Visit from BIM specialist Ignasi Perez
Location: Barcelona Architecture Center (BAC)
Dates: 23/11 and 26/11

Ignasi Perez, an architect involved deeply into the construction field, visited the BAC studio to provide input in student projects. His main objective was to help students find the best material option that works with their design.

Thanksgiving at the BAC
Location: Barcelona Architecture Center (BAC)

The awesome professors of BAC held the popular North American tradition of the thanksgiving dinner for all the students. Each person helped out with their contribution of food or dessert. A vast amount of food was consumed that day.
