Italian architect Fabrizio Barozzi and Spanish architect Alberto Veiga are partners of the young, Barcelona based firm Estudio Barozzi Veiga, which specializes in museums, institutions and other cultural centers. Their projects have been awarded locally and internationally and their competitions winning proposals combine aesthetics, functionality and sustainability. The recent project, Szczecin Philharmonic in Poland is the winner of Mies van der Rohe Award 2015.

BAC Spring 2016 Lecture Series_KAZUMI KUDO

Last night our TAMU, CU, RWU and Japanese universities students had pleasure to assist at Japanese architect and professor KAZUMI KUDO conference at the Col·legi d’Arquitectes de Catalunya (COAC)
Thanks again prof. Kudo for coming to Barcelona to be a part of our Spring 2016 Lecture Series and the COAC for hosting last night’s lecture.

BAC spring 2016 Lecture Series_KAZUMI KUDO at COAC

As part of BAC Spring 2016 Lecture Series

Japanese architect KAZUMI KUDO will give a conference titled

“Natural space”

 Thursday, March 17th  at 7:00 pm at the auditorium of the  Association of Architects of Catalonia COAC

Conference will be moderated by Miguel Roldán

Kazumi Kudo is the director of Coelacanth K&H Architects Inc. based in Tokyo and Fukuoka, Japan and professor at Toyo University.

Conference will be focused on current work of architect Kudo expecially her latest built projects for schools, universities and libraries.

Kazumi Kudo has received the Good Design Award 2015 with the project “University Dinning” and has been awarded the prestigious Grand Prix 2014 by the Japan Institute of Architects for the project Yamaga Elementary School. She has also winner of the Design for Asia Award (Gold Award) in 2013 International Architecture Awards in 2012.

Conference will be in English and is open to the public.
